What a fun couple of days!

The week started by ditching our children and going to Speed Street Racing for Crystal and Natalie's birthdays. It was a TON of fun! I am definitely not a speed demon. It was pretty much Me and Natalie racing for 7th & 8th place and then the other 6 racing for 1st through 6th. Thank you very much mom and dad for paying for everyone so we could go and have fun. Thank you Grandma & Grandpa Keisel for watching the girls so that we could go.

On Wed. I got a chance to babysit my nephews for a few hours, we had a great time.

Addy loves playing with Gunner and Trapper. I was very happy that nobody got hurt. They were going so fast down our hill that they would fly off the end of the slip 'n' slide into each other. Sorry about the background noise, they were using a jack hammer on our street.

Total Slacker. . . not my fault!

I just wanted to let everybody know that I am a slacker. My husband was great and posted stuff during his Alaska trip but I haven't done anything on our blog for a while. SORRY! The truth is, I have been reading. I am not a huge reader but the Twilight series definitely sucked me in. Thank goodness I finished all three books in less than a week so that I can get on with my life, pay attention to my children, do my dishes, the laundry, cook dinner, all those things that went down the drain while I was reading those darn books. Yes- I enjoyed them, yes- I am glad I am done, yes- I am planning on starting the fourth one as soon as I can get my hands on it.

Memory Game

Here is a fun little game... leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time or a long time, anything that you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It is pretty funny to read the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you are playing and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. On your mark... get set... blog those memories!

It's all about perspective

Today I caught a couple of fish. I know that is what I have been doing the whole trip, so it shouldn't be a big deal, right? The reason that I am so proud of these fish is that I wasn't on some charter boat, and I didn't have a guide. I just took my fishing pole down to the river behind the lodge and pretended to know what I was doing by copying everyone else.

I ended up catching this red salmon (also called a sockeye salmon) which ended up being one of the biggest ones taken from the river that day. It was a ton of fun trying to reel that thing in (it sure gave a lot more fight than the usual eight inch brook trout I usually catch in utah)

A little while later, I caught this little guy. It is a little baby salmon, and no it wasn't just a frozen bait fish. I really did hook him right in the middle from that same river. I didn't even notice until I glanced at my hook and saw something flipping around on it. Now I have to decide which took more talent- being able to snag a inch and a half baby or reeling in a fifteen pound salmon.
