Check out this bear

Fishing on wolverine creek

we got to fly on a little puddle jumper

The lake looked like it belonged in some tropical rainforest, but then I remembered how cold it was and I decided we were still in Alaska

We saw a couple of bears, and they were litterally twenty five feet away. Derek had a fish on his line that was splashing around, and the bear came in to get it. I bet he was less than ten feet from the boat.

We all caught our limit of red salmon, and the guide grilled one up for us on the boat

What happened to the moon?

I never never realized how much the sun is shining up here. When we go to bed the sun is up, and when we get up at four in the morning to go fishing the sun is up. It is pretty wierd to get used to. I think that I would rather the sun be up all of the time then have it never up like it is in the winter

This is at ten at night from the dock behind the lodge on the kenai river

This one is at midnight from the same spot

Alaska day 2

We went to Ninilchik to do some halibut fishing. When this pulled up, I wasn't so sure that I wanted to go clear out into the ocean on it.

We caught our limit on halibut, and although Casey caught the biggest one, two out of the three biggest were caught by me.
